Educ 406: Fine Arts Journey

This is my first time blogging :)

I am happy to be learning about how to teach arts as a future educator. Im looking forward to learning more about how to teach different kinds of art and practice what I have learned in my practicums.
I enjoy looking for new ways to incorporate art in my practicum lesson plans, I look on line through google, and my favourite pinterest website. I also look for ways to incorporate aboriginal content in cross curricular activities, in my practicum lesson plans.
I am blessed with learning about the Neduteen culture, thanks to my wonderful parents and grandparents on both sides of parents family. I can speak the Carrier Language, and have recently completed my DSTC education diploma, which has given the creditionals to teach Carrier as a language instructor. Im very proud of my heritage, and look forward to sharing my knowledge with the next generation. I believe knowing your identity helps you succeed in education and everything you do, education is important and the key to a good future.

  1. Welcome to blogging! I am glad there will be teachers like you to help students know who they are. I was inspired by your profile post, as well as amused that the redwing reference you've made comes from the hockey team and not from red-winged blackbirds. But maybe you like those birds, too, or do they live around here? I have mostly seen them in Saskatchewan around swampy areas. I like their song.
